What Americans Plan to Do Most Post-Quarantine
Quarantine has changed everyone’s lives. We think it’s safe to say that all of us are looking forward to the day when everything opens back up, and we can get back to normal. In the meantime, we’re strategizing.
And while our team wants to see what the world looks like once businesses are allowed to resume their regular hours, we realized the first stops we’ll all make are different. One of us wants to go on a date night with her husband, another will head to her favorite coffee shop, and one can’t wait to hit the gym. Based on our musings, we wanted to see what other people want to do once things are back to normal.
To find out, we surveyed over 1500 people to see what they can’t wait to do most once it’s safe to go back out, and the quarantine is over. Check out the results below.
Almost 1 in 4 people say they’re most excited to see their families after the pandemic has ended, while 1 in 5 people say they’re most looking forward to seeing their friends. About 15% can’t wait to take a trip to get out of their homes and see somewhere other than their own four walls, and 1 in 10 people are most excited to go back to work.
Almost a third of people we surveyed say that the first place they’re going once everything opens back up is a restaurant. Nearly 15% said their first stop would be the office, and 1 in 10 people said they’re headed to either the mall or the gym.
Since so many people can’t wait to eat at a restaurant, we wanted to know which ones people were most excited to go to. Apparently, people are craving burgers and apple pie, because 30% of people said they’re headed to American restaurants after quarantine ends. Italian and Mexican are tied for second place and Japanese came in fourth.
Of course, everyone is looking forward to getting a haircut (show of hands, anyone?). But, for women, getting their eyebrows done came in as a close second, followed closely by getting a manicure and a pedicure.
Our team has had to band together as we navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, and we’re all looking forward to when businesses can resume their normal operations. When workers walk back into their offices or stores and flick on the lights, e-conolight will be there. We’re the people who keep the lights on. If you’re wondering how e-conolight can help you prepare your business facilities for the post-coronavirus world,
