It is no secret that in the south football, and particularly college football, is a passion for many that call it home. Two of the oldest venues in our list reign from the Deep South, with Alabama’s Bryant Denny Stadium and Mississippi’s Vaught-Hemingway Stadium as the top searched sports facility for these states. These beloved stadiums have had their devoted fan bases for around 100 years! Bryant Denny Stadium, home of the University of Alabama Crimson Tide, has been a home to fans since 1929, and Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, home of the University of Mississippi Bulldogs, has had fans cheering there since its completion in 1915! To find out which sports facility is the most searched in every U.S. state, we used Google Trends search data from January 2019 to 2024 to analyze over 700 sports venue keywords across the U.S. For each state, we individually analyzed search interest for a variety of local arenas or stadiums within that state.
