It’s safety week at e-conolight®!
So in the spirit of safety, let’s review OSHA’s Top 10 Safety Violations and how you can avoid them in the future.
VIOLATION | HOW TO AVOID* |
Fall Protection | Note employee work heights and provide appropriate fall protection equipment. |
Hazard Communication | Label and document hazardous products and materials for end users. Continuously evaluate and monitor all hazards. |
Scaffolding in Construction | Provide stable work platforms and scaffolding. Regularly test for balance, stability and weight retention. |
Respiratory Protection | Issue NIOSH-certified respirators and ensure workspaces have proper ventilation. |
Powered Industrial Trucks | Train and certify employees on powered industrial trucks. |
Lockout/Tagout | Maintain appropriate lockout/tagout products and procedures. |
Ladders in Construction | Use appropriate ladders for the environment and work being completed. |
Electrical Wiring | Ensure wiring and insulation inspections are completed, and practice proper grounding procedures. |
Machine Guarding | Protect employees from rotating parts, flying objects and other dangers through machine guards and actions. |
Electrical Systems Design | Be aware of your surroundings and pay close attention to all design, installation and usage instructions. |
